What did you do this past week?

This past week I was quite busy preparing for a karate competition I had, so I did not spend too much time doing school work. I did watch a couple lectures that I had missed in my artificial intelligence class. I also had to complete an ethics writing assignment for my business law class. I also read through the Life project a little more and I’m currently getting started on it. I also registered for fall classes this week.

What’s in your way?

Nothing is in my way just yet, but that will surely change as I move forward. In my AI project, I guess my knowledge is holding me back, as I haven’t yet covered all the material needed to do the project.

What will you do next week?

Ideally I will finish the Life project within the next couple days. I also need to spend a few hours catching up on AI lectures so I can finish my project for that class. I need to sign up for a summer literature course as well this week. This week I also have an exam for my culture course, so I need to prepare for that.

If you read it, what did you think of the What Happens to Us Does Not Happen to Most of You?

I had a hard time reading through this week’s paper, as it made me a little uncomfortable to hear about how cruel the industry can be towards women. I am hopeful however that our generation will change that going forward.

What was your experience of Life and inheritance? (this question will vary, week to week)

I have some prior experience with inheritance so this was not all that new to me. The Life project seems interesting, I have a couple ideas about how I want to tackle it but I am sure I’ll have to adjust as I go.

What made you happy this week?

I had a great performance at my karate tournament on Saturday, as I qualified for the Junior PanAmerican Games in Cali, Colombia in September of this year. This will be the first ever edition of karate in the Junior PanAmerican Games, so I’m super excited for this competition.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My tip of the week is to start looking back at material from throughout the semester for classes that have final exams coming up. I know I need to review some of the older material in my courses for my upcoming exams.
